Everyday... The same this, the same that. Killed a monster, a demigod died. Gained friends, lost some more. End of the world, beginning a new era. Excetra! What a 'bleh' life to live, no?
The fire of Camp Half-blood reflected the moods of the campers as they walked by it or sat next to it or, well, you get the point. But with no one around but a lone boy, who was having 'eh' feelings at the moment in time, it had to settled for a normal color that most fire should have. The boy's eyes seemed to glow just the same color as the fire, like they were fresh kindling smoking in the embers; glaring into the fire's depths he shall faces, faces of the past, his father, step-brother, friends, even his own mother the goddess Hestia for a moment; and disturbed by the images he seen, he let off a low snarl, yanking his head away from the flames and shutting his eyes tight, skunk-like colored hair hiding his face from few. His hand moved before the rest of him did, digging into the front pocket of his flannel shirts, soon producing a white stick, with was promptly shoved into his side of his mouth, and with the snap of his thumb, a small flame produced atop of that lighting the end of the stick; after taking a few puffs of the smoking air, a calming sensation fell over him, his shoulder's un-tensed, his eyes warily opened, shooting a glare toward the flames. "For the gods." Searus grunted to himself, still puffing away with his stick, as he grabbed a branch from the side of the bonfire bit, tossing it into the flames, before glaring toward the other side, just for a moment thinking he could see a little girl on the other side of the flames before it vanished once again.

Silver Fox, a seven year old daughter of Poseidon, camper of two years walked up to the fire, a small smile on her face. She wore her normal white dress, and white bow in her knee length hair, and long strands on either side of her face. Her lether belt hung loosly on her waist, and carried a single, hand crafted by her, dagger. She also carried a bow, one of her size, but no arrows. "Snoking is bad for you, ya know," she told the boy by the fire, not knowing who it was, but seeing him before. She didn't really care about how people looked, including her own, explaining her plain clothing, but cared more about what they were doing. Her sea-blue eyes flashed with a hidden emotion for a second when she saw what he was doing.

A sharp, though young voice interrupted and dragged himself out of his thoughts and his intent staring at the Camp's fire. "Is it?" He grunted, though in turn knew it too be the wrong answer. Shifting his position to get a full look at who he was talking too, a little girl, most likely around 7 or 8 years old, one who he'd seen about the camp but had never talked to much or not at all. "We're heroes." Searus mused toward her, eyes glinting as if daring her to finished the sentence. Meanwhile his hand came in front of both him and the other, a small ball of fire appeared within his palm, and when he stared at it images that made him wince came to life; demigods battling monsters or running from them in other cases, the shrouds hanging on the camp-fire to be burned or worse them being used to cover the bodies of others; though he didn't know if the small girl shall what he'd seen, but he'd seen enough for that matter, and closed his hand extinguishing the flame. Puffs of smoke kept coming on their way from the little white stick in his maw, wariness shown in his facial features from doing that little fire show, looking up evenly to the daughter of Poseidon.

Silver nodded, listening to his words. "You wouldn't be much of a hero if you died for something so simple," she told him, her eyes hard, "Or if you couldn't save people you love or riends because smoking has prevented your health." Her words were simply, but meaningful, and harsh, in a way.

"Hah! Fiery one arn't you?" Searus grunted, a few ragged coughs coming from his maws fell into some sort of a coughing fit, which later after listening hard to it could possibily determined as laughter, but then again who knew. Catching himself, chest heaving slightly and panting faintly, he glanced back up to her face before relenting with a sigh. Grabbing the stick out of mouth and placed in the center of his plam before clamping over with the other hand, the sullen roar of fire was heard between the moment before re-opening his hand revealing his sooty hands, watching the ashes blow away in the wind. "I've been at it most likely before you were even born kid, it's a nasty habit I'll admit but it's not like I could or would stop anytime soon... And if you've ever been in my mom's cabin, with the immortal fire in there, it's spewing more harmful gases in it's enormous lifetime, if it even has that, than one of my mere sticks every now and then could put out... Besides, as I mentioned before, we're heroes, all our lives will end in suffering and tragedies. I'm just being the dashing fellow making it easier for myself and a few others along this well-beaten track." Searus grunted, smoke still rising from his maw and nostrils as he exhaled and inhaled.

"Hmph," Silver gunted in response, not bothering to even move to help when he had a couching fit. "Your mom is Hestia, right? At least her eternal fire doesn't kill; it it probably healthier then that. And what if you die, and/or let other people you care about because you can't save them because you were unhealthy and too weak?" Smoking did make people weaker, in their lungs, and cause them to tire more easily.

"Let Hades come for me, not like I'd care. Like I said before, I'm making myself have an easy life, so that when I finally kick the bucket, well I'll kick the bucket, no doubt about it... And I have no one to care for or about anymore, they're all gone, long gone, all dxed, long dxed..." Searus snarled angrily, dying off at the end because pain reflected in the depths of his fiery lights. The camp fire, running off the very feelings of those about it, suddenly burned brighter and higher and turned a nasty shade of red; whip-like tendrils made of fire appeared lashing out of it's boundaries as if seemingly making their way to the little girl, but the tendrils never made it as they shoot back into the fire with a surprised hiss at the boy's hand making a faint waving motion backwards. Bearing his head downward, glaring to the ground, giving a faint grumbling sigh, before continueing on again; "My mother always blabbers on about how the greatest power in the power of yielding... I've yielded so much in my short life, your puny child's brain could hardly imagine." He paused, raising his head to let his eyes burn toward the girl, still in the mist of the dying rage and the distant pain, mixed with the weariness his powers were taxing upon him. "So, now I ask you to yield the pestering about my habit... Smoking gives me my peace and sanity back for awhile, before the monster's come round the door again."

Silver snorted. "Fine." she said simply, insulted by his words, "Though you could always find someone to care about." She met and held his gaze, seeing pain and suffering, and showing sympathy and hopefulness, but also anger. "It's your choice, if you want to die, and not give life a chance," she told him, still looking in his direction, "It's only you that has to live with the choice, and only others who have to live with the consequences; your early death."

"Thank you." He grunted toward her, thought doubting it himself that she was honestly 'done' talking too him. With a faint sigh, eye-lids fluttering close, he snagged an ambrosia square from his pocket to chew on the edge thoughtfully, listening to the little girl's next splee about how he should live his life. Yea', getting together with someone and having some kids, just like this blonde little brat, was the highest thing on his list of 'NOT GOING TO HAPPEN'. But then again, she was a little too wise for her own good, prob' another Athena kid most likly, but who knew. "Find someone to care about, eh? Hah... I doubt anyone would want nasty ole me to care about them, nor am I much of what you'd call these day a, er, people person..." Searus paused, snagging another bite of the ambrosia square before putting it away again. The god food at least shoving away his wariness that his power, and even though it seemed too brighten him up all around, faint pain still glinted in the depths of his fiery lights. "The last ones I cared about were kxlled by monsters, kxlled by themselves, or for one kxlled by myself.... So, the safest thing for others in my mind, is to stay away from me, far away, so that they don't get burnt." He rumbled. Raising his hand as if to grab from his shirt pocket again at the pack, nearly doing so but stopped himself by a force of will, ignoring the monster in his head and for one (oddly enough) listening to the little girl maybe a little bit. With a sigh, he turned grabbing a stick from the wood-stock pile, tossing it into the bonefire's flames; vaguely thinking /For the gods/ within his mind, but was focused on a few other things entirely.
((Bumpsi... ^^))
