Zexion wandered through the forest, all sorts of monsters appearing out of know where before he slashes a dagger through them and they burst into sand, except, there wasn't any sand on the ground afterwords. The steel-haired boy almost never let others view his illusions, and those he did, hardly ever lived to tell the tale. In the camp, he'd only let Chiron and Dionysus, though he was reluctant, know about it.

Daphne didn't exactly like the forests here. They always smelled funny - too fresh for her city-tuned nose. It was filled with too many muddy (or bloody, depending on if there'd been a recent game of capture the flag) puddles everywhere - but anything was better right now than waiting in her cabin, when everyone was gone.
The petite blonde weaved idolly through the trees, picking up her feet, and mincing about like a very cynical deer, her lips turned up into a perminate snarl of disgust. This was the stupidest idea she'd had in along time - she did not like have stupid ideas.
It many not turn out to be completely useless, however. She could hear someone walking ahead of her. She'd been too late to see who it was - but that wasn't stopping her from pursuit. You know what they said about that curious cat - but satisfaction always brought it back...and Daphne figured that she could always find something perfectly satisfying through sneaking around.
She was no Hermes' kid though - not all that into stealth, so by the time she caught up with the person she was persuing, and the mildly familar steely hair, she figured it was time to let him know he wasn't quite alone - besides, if she had to duck behind a tree again, only to be shushed or laughed at, she was going knock it's driad out.
"Out for a little practice run, are we?"

"I'm not really running," the son of Morpheus replied, not even turning, all his illusions dissapearing instantly. He had a slight headache, but that usually happened after practicing like he was; he was used to the more basic ones, but sometimes the complex one helped, and he was getting better; it didn't hurt as much as often. He silently padded over to a tree and pulled one of his daggers out, slipping it back into his boot.
Still not turning, he pulled another dagger from a different tree farther back and slipped it over his back. "I thought you didn't like like the forest very much."

"I don't," Daphne admitted, rising her small shoulders in an indifferent shrug. "But you won't blame me from wanting a change of scenery, hmm?" The idea of learning swordsplay, bowcraft, and chariot racing wasn't particuarly thrilling to begin with for her - but not that she'd been at camp now for almost a year. Just a break from the monotony of life would cause her to wander off the the places she would generally not go near.
"Bet the Driads love that." She snickered, nodding her head in reference to Zexion pulling one of his many tossed dagger out of the trunk of the tree.

"Didn't mean to hit it," Zexion replied flatly, finally turning to the other half-blood. His steely-gray hair covering half of his face, only one of his matching eyes showing. His eyes were emotionless, and, though only one ever showed, full of wisdom. He looked down and opened his lexicon to the page with his drawing of a minotaur, adding the horns and a bit of shading to it before closinf it sharply, his gaze shifting back to Daphne. He never let anyone see, let alone touch, his Lexicon, even though he hadn't ever told anyone that, most had the good thoughts to not touch it.

Daphne used the tree behind her as a pole to lean on, as she peered at Zexion as if he was a mildly interesting bug that had drawn her attention. She placed her hands behind her head, tossling her blonde curls to either side, and the image of angelic boredom was complete.
"I'm sure they don't care if it was an accident or not." A thin, humorless smile crossed her lips momentarily. "Although I suppose they really can't do anything about if they wanted to, could they?"
But her attention really was grabbed, when Zexion whipped out a interesting little book. "Hey, what's that?!" She almost jumped form her laxed position, as she betrayed her true youngster age with characteristic younger-kid flamboyancy. "What is that - lemme see - can I see it?!"
In a matter of seconds she flounced dangerously close into Zexion's personal space, her hands reaching out as if to grasp the book.
(Sorry for the wait...hopefully a little more action in this post will make up for it!)

Zexion looked startled for less than a second when Dephen asked what his Lexicon was. "No," he replied flatly; he never was too social, despite being the Morpeous cabin leader. He then decided, in a second, that now might be a good time to test his illusions without giving too much away. He only wondered if the other half-blood might over-react and not pay attention to his details until after he had drawn the hellhound in the air behind her and forced a growl to bounce around until it seemed to come from the monster.
OOC: No problem Sorry about his distant personality XD

"Aw, come on now!" Daphne's face dropped into full pout mode - her bottom lip jutting out like the overhang of a cliff in her thin face. "What harm could there be in having a peek. Pretty Please! I won't tell a soul about what's in it..." It was just as she was crossing her fingers behind her back when a very strange sound reached her ears.
"What the he-?!" Daphne turned abruptly, momentarily distracted from her weaseling, only to be staring into the eyes of a very pissed looking hellhound. Jaws dripping with saliva drops large enough to soak both of her shoes into ruined slabs of leather, it gave her a peek at just how sharp it's teeth really was as it continued its low, monotonous growl.
"GODS!" She shrieked, in a high-pitched, femanine way that only a few little girls and serious opera divas could muster. She accompained it with a scream as, for once in her short life, words seemed to fail her.
Faced with a foul monster that she knew in her heart of hearts she could not outrun, she did the next best thing - and not a second later, stood firmly behind Zexion, using him as a human shield. After all...she didn't necissarily need to run fast, or run at all - so long as she could outmanuver him.
(Hehe...Don't worry about it...I do enjoy roleplaying with a challenge.)

Zexion was pushed and held firmly between the two things, one a half-blood, the other a very nice illusion that would give him an exellent headache later on. Good thing he always had a couple containers of aspren, or some sort of painkiller. He stood still admiring his work of art as a smirk fell upon his face. He remembered Daphen behind him and his "real" hellhound. Fast as lightning, he pulled down and grabbes the dagger from his boot, brining it up and throwing it at the illusion.
As soon as the sharp edges' of the dagger colided with the chest of the hellhound, Zexion willed his wonderfull illusion to burst into dust, and it did. He even tried hard to keep the dust there until they left, or atleast until she forgot about it.

Daphne was just about hyperventalating. They were about to become dogfood for sure - it was so unfair! She was too pretty to become dogfood! Oh why did she have to run around in this stupid forest, filled with stupid monsters!
She closed her eyes firmly, waiting for the end that never came.
Confused as to why she was not in horrendous pain, she tentatively opened one eye, just in time to see Zexion do away with the monster with a flick of his blade.
She blinked in shock, staring as the dust setttled or disipated into the air.
"Oh my gods!" She finally squealed. " You...you saved me! You killed that thing, and saved me!" Her eyes were wide and shiny.

"No I didn't," Zexion replied flatly, not being modest, but stateing the truth. He stepped away from her and went to retrive his dagger, which, this time, didn't land wedged in the bark of a tree. He pulled it out from the ground slipped it back into his boot. He turned back to Daphne.

"Oh, don't be modest!" Daphne's eyes were still shining with hero worship, but they were beginning to lose their edge slightly - she was sobering up as the fear-spurred adrenaline left her system. "I hate modest people - they're worse than bragging jerks. You totally killed that thing with one hit! How'd you do that - I sure some of those tools in Aries cabin couldn't do that in a hundred years!"

"I'm not," Zexion muttered dryly, another low growl begining in his throat as he seped away from her, heading towards the river now. His slow steps her silent, and he wasn't sure if Daphen was following him, though he didn't stop his steady pace, nor did he even look over his shoulder.
